\*\*\*SCROLL BELOW FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO JOIN THIS EVENT VIA ESCAPE.AI'S IMMERSIVE THEATER! A SPECIAL EXPERIMENT WE ARE TRYING!
This week we'll be joined by:
BLVCKL!GHT
https://x.com/BLVCKLIGHTai
https://linktr.ee/blvcklightai
Internationally exhibited, award winning digital artist creating generative experiences and telling stories through images, animations, music videos, brand/artist collaborations, and film.
A longtime friend of Machine Cinema, he’s coming back to talk to us about his perspective on distribution opportunities for AI creators.
Malik Afegbua
https://malikafegbua.com/
Malik Afegbua is a Nigerian filmmaker, artist, and creative technologist renowned for his innovative approach to arts using AI technology. In January 2023, he gained global attention with "The Elder Series," a collection of AI-generated images depicting seniors in stylish, colorful attire on a fashion runway. This project garnered praise for its positive portrayal of elderly individuals while also sparking debate about AI's impact on human creativity in art.
As a multifaceted storyteller, he seamlessly blends African heritage with futurism, adapting his medium to each narrative. His projects intentionally fuse artistic vision, lived experiences, and cutting-edge technology to push boundaries and highlight overlooked perspectives. His creations serve as a call to action, encouraging viewers to envision and work towards a more inclusive digital landscape that truly represents the diversity of human experiences across age groups and cultural backgrounds.
ESCAPE.AI IMMERSIVE THEATER OPTION
\*\*\*If you’d like to try something a little different, visit escape.ai to join other guests in a 3D immersive virtual theater. You can hang out and socialize as an avatar (with voice and text chat) while watching the livestream together.
You’ll just need to create a free Escape account and set up your avatar before the event — it only takes about 5–10 minutes. No downloads or special equipment required — just a desktop or laptop and a web browser.
Doors Open 30 minutes before the GenTalks start,
We recommend you come in at least 5-10 minutes before to do the above sign in process. Make your way to the theater and grab a digital seat like you usually do.

For folks who intend to participate in the conversation, you may want to stay in Google meet but for the more passive “sit back and enjoy” crowd, this is a special experience we’re exploring with our friends at Escape to test the edges of how we can all come together.
