Hey everyone, This Wednesday 10-11am PT / 1-2pm ET is our weekly digital get together to connect on how we are all making our way through this new era for creative industries and AI among other emergent technologies, sharing ideas, tips, knowledge amongst ourselves. Our group is an amazing mix of creators/ producers/ builders/ some new to this stuff/ some OG/ all of us constantly learning. This week we'll be joined by: Christina Lee Storm is an award-winning producer and accomplished executive recognized for her pioneering work bridging storytelling and technology spanning television, film, animation, documentaries, virtual reality, augmented reality, and XR. As Co-Founder/Partner of PLAYBOOK PLBK, Christina leads her companies to strategically, creatively and responsibly integrate emerging technologies like AI, real-time, and virtual production into narrative, digital, and multi-platform storytelling. She has been instrumental in implementing creative and strategic production technologies for franchises, IP, and world-building with studios such as Netflix, Universal, and DreamWorks Animation. Christina served as Head of Content & Acquisitions at Positron where she played a key role in strategizing, driving, and acquiring premium cinematic VR content for the company's platform. She currently works with AI-Native studio Secret Level as Advisory Consultant / Head of Studio, Long Form. She recently launched Substack The Creative + Tech Orbit with Playbook PLBK partner Annie Hanlon and veteran tech and entertainment journalist Carolyn Giardina. Christina is Governor of the Television Academy's Emerging Media Programming, Co-Chair of the Advocacy Committee, Lead for the Academy’s Responsible AI & Production Standards Working Group, and an active member of the Innovation Advisory Committee. Christina sits on the Producers Guild of America’s Production Innovation Task Force, Los Angeles Mayor’s Entertainment Industry Council and Workforce Development Sub-Committee. She is an advisor for Runway’s 100 Film Fund Advisor Panel and Judge for several AI Film Festivals including Runway’s 2025 AI Film Festival and Chroma Awards. Globally known as a thought leader in the emerging media landscape, Christina was inducted into AWE’s inaugural XR Hall of Fame, received the Lumiere Distinguished Leadership Award in Technology, and is a newly inducted member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences, Class of 2025. Annie Hanlon is an accomplished executive and award-winning producer with expertise spanning advertising and commercials, immersive and virtual production, traditional film and series, emerging technology, and documentaries. A lifelong cinephile working at the intersection of media and technology, she is the Co-Founder of Playbook PLBK, a consultancy focused on AI, storytelling, and innovation.  Annie is known for her impact at Netflix, Lytro, and Here Be Dragons and for setting new standards in the creative use of technology in entertainment. A sought-after industry speaker, Annie is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the Visual Effects Society, a board member of the Infinity Festival, and a member of LG NOVA Coalition for Innovation (AI Blueprint 2025 co-author).  A 2024 graduate of Space Camp (Huntsville, AL), she has served as a production instructor for undergraduate and graduate students at Boston University and has mentored filmmakers at Meta (fmr: Facebook VR for Good) and the USC School of Cinematic Arts.  Annie recently launched Substack The Creative + Tech Orbit with Playbook PLBK partner Christina Lee Storm and veteran tech and entertainment journalist Carolyn Giardina.
