## Description
GenJam: World-Building Edition is a hands-on, collaborative jam where creators use AI tools to design an original universe from the ground up—then bring it to life across multiple mediums. Teams will work together to define the core DNA of a world: its lore, geography, cultures, characters, aesthetics, and rules. Using cutting-edge AI image, video, and interactive tools, participants will rapidly prototype that world into cinematic teasers, short narrative videos, visual bibles, and—where time allows—playable or game-like experiences. This is not just about generating assets. It’s about thinking like world-builders: making creative decisions that stay consistent across story, visuals, and interaction. A city should feel the same in a trailer, a character reveal, or a game environment. AI becomes the accelerant, not the author. By the end of the jam, each team will present: A coherent fictional world (lore + visual identity) One or more short videos or trailers set in that world Optional extensions: game concepts, interactive scenes, or transmedia ideas GenJam World-Building Edition is ideal for filmmakers, game designers, writers, artists, and technologists who want to explore how AI enables rapid, collective universe-building—the kind used in modern franchises, games, and immersive storytelling. No prior world-building experience required. Curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to experiment are the only prerequisites.
